The rental agreement
When you book a bag through LuggageOnRent, you're entering a short-term rental agreement for the specific bag, dates, and delivery address confirmed at checkout. The bag remains our property throughout the rental period.
Deposits
A refundable security deposit is collected at booking and returned within 3 business days of the bag being picked up in good condition, less any deductions described below.
Damage & loss
- Normal wear from travel (scuffs, minor scratches) is expected and not charged.
- Damage beyond normal wear (broken wheels, torn lining, snapped handles) or loss of the bag will be deducted from the deposit, with any shortfall billed separately.
- Please report damage during your trip as soon as you notice it, so we can advise on next steps before pickup.
Cancellations & changes
Cancellations made before the bag is dispatched for delivery are eligible for a full refund. Once a bag has been dispatched, cancellation fees may apply to cover delivery costs already incurred.
Late returns
If you need to extend your rental, contact us before the scheduled pickup date. Bags not returned or extended by the agreed date may incur additional daily rental charges.
Limitation of liability
LuggageOnRent is not liable for items packed inside the rented bag, including loss or damage to your personal belongings, beyond what's covered by applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
